Clocks go back – Is Your Vision Roadworthy?

⏰ Clocks go back – is your vision roadworthy?

The clocks go back one hour on Sunday 25th October at 2am, bringing darker evenings and more journeys after dark. Reduced visibility, headlight glare and tiredness can make driving more challenging.

🚗 Give yourself more time to spot pedestrians, cyclists and other hazards.
👓 Wear your glasses or contact lenses if you need them for driving.
👁️ If you have noticed changes in your vision or are struggling with glare, arrange an eye test.
💡 Check your lights and keep your windscreen clean, inside and out.

Older Drivers Forum are supporting the “Is Your Vision Roadworthy?” campaign starts on Monday 26 October 2026, running for two weeks until Sunday 8 November. We’re encouraging every driver to think about their eyesight and its vital role in keeping everyone safe.
