Road Safety Project

Study Poster V2

We need your help! – Volunteers needed

The Older Drivers Forum is always looking for new ways to support mature motorists to carry on driving safely for longer.

We are pleased to announce we are teaming up with Liverpool John Moores University in a study to look at attitudes to road safety and driving which will help us in the future address relevant subjects and advice so we can help tailor our website and the right information to support you.

We are therefore looking for volunteers aged 70 and over, to take part in research using a road-based safety app, RoadHow.  To take part in this study you must have a valid driving licence, or provisional licence (i.e. a learner driver), with at least class B entitlement (entitlement to drive a car).

You would be invited to participate in an online study for a minimum of 2 surveys to a maximum of 10 surveys, depending on which group you are assigned to.  If you are in the RoadHow group you will be expected to complete two surveys and between 7-9 RoadHow knowledge checks throughout the study.  Each session would take about 10-15 minutes of your time.

RoadHow is an app for drivers to gain knowledge of their driving and the Highway Code, you may be asked to use the app throughout the duration of the study, which lasts for 15 weeks.
