A presentation to support older drivers and their family and friends

The Gloucestershire Older Drivers Forum are running another presentation to support older drivers and their family and friends with useful advice. This presentation was given in November 2020 to great success. One attendee said:

This is one of the better webinars (on any subject) that I have attended – you and Nigel had clearly put considerable thought and effort into creating an interesting, informative, thought-provoking, and eye-catching presentation.

Another presentation is now  arranged for Saturday 19th December 2020 at 11am. The presentation is:

  • Free join
  • The presentation is 30 minutes in length, with 30 minutes for questions and answers
  • Places are limited so you will need to register, see below available dates
  • The presentations are to support older drivers and their family and friends
  • The event is online using Zoom. You do not need a Zoom account to take part.

Decision Study

You can participate in a new online study investigating older adult driving, being co-ordinated by the University of East Anglia, and funded by the UK Department for Transport. To find out more visit: click here or visit https://olderdriversforum.com/decision-study/ 

Who is this study for?
Adults aged at least 65 who hold a UK driving licence, and are currently driving.

What is this study about?
The study seeks to understand the changes that take place in thinking as we age, and how these changes might affect our driving.

How will we do this?
Online questionnaires and thinking tests (e.g. memory, attention, language).

Where is the research happening?
The study is completed online, and so recruiting throughout the UK.

When is it happening?
You can register your interest now, ready for the study to go live in early 2021.
