We need your help! – Volunteers needed

Study Poster V2

The Older Drivers Forum is always looking for new ways to support mature motorists to carry on driving safely for longer.

We are pleased to announce we are teaming up with Liverpool John Moores University in a study to look at attitudes to road safety and driving which will help us in the future address relevant subjects and advice so we can help tailor our website and the right information to support you.

We are therefore looking for volunteers aged 70 and over, to take part in research using a road-based safety app, RoadHow.  To take part in this study you must have a valid driving licence, or provisional licence (i.e. a learner driver), with at least class B entitlement (entitlement to drive a car).

We look forward to you supporting us in this study

Cost of living crisis impacts Older and Disabled Drivers

A new report suggests that the cost-of-living crisis will force more than half of older drivers to make fewer journeys and limit their own mobility, according to a new survey by leading disability motoring website MotaClarity. The poll of more than 1,000 drivers aged 50 and over found that 54% were considering placing self-imposed limits on their driving in order to save cash in the face of mounting household expenses.Cost of living reportTo read the report click here
