After a summer break we return with three new opportunities for mature drivers to gather information on how to drive safely for longer     

  • Thursday 26th September: Gloucestershire’s Big Information Day at                          Longfield Hospice
  • Saturday 28th September: Community webinar ‘Driving Safely in Autumn.                          Grandparents – the Mentors.
  • Friday 11th October: Community event, Coleford Library ‘Driving Safely in Winter.

Come and have a chat with us and more than 30 other organisations to learn about services available within our community. We will be sharing space with Gloucestershire Older Persons Association. Lots of free information to takeaway. Plenty of tea and biscuits available!

Driving Safely in Autumn. Grandparents – the Mentors.’
 

With the ongoing media debate about changes to young driver licenses have you been thinking about how you can mentor your grandchildren around road safety?

Along with advice on driving safely in autumn we will include suggestions on what you could do. Rod Harrison from Gloucestershire Advanced Motorists will be a guest presenter and will talk about the free young drivers’ courses and other road safety initiatives that are available, funded by Gloucestershire FIRE.

Community Event ‘Driving Safely in Winter’
at
Coleford Library, The Main Place, Railway Drive, Coleford GL16 8RH

This presentation provides advice on how mature drivers can prepare to drive more safely in winter. Bobby Oliver from Driving Mobility will be a guest presenter and will talk about their Hubs Mobility Advice Service. Officers from the Coleford Neighbourhood Policing Team will also be in attendance. After the presentation there will be lots of time for one-to-one chats, with free information to take away.
