Oliver Willcocks

I graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2008 and I have worked for Portsmouth City Council as a Road Safety Officer since 2012.
I am responsible for reducing risks on the roads in Portsmouth where possible through initiatives, campaigns, education and physical changes to our road network.

I encourage all road users to contact us with traffic safety issues they have experienced or are concerned about, as local information is valuable in highlighting where we need to target resources.

My on-going priority areas are motorcyclists, cyclists, primary aged school children, Portsmouth 20mph scheme and older drivers.
Other priority groups for Portsmouth are younger drivers and secondary aged school children.

With our aging population, older drivers are becoming an ever more important aspect of road safety and transport generally. Education is the key aspect, awareness of the facilities, schemes and initiatives available and of our responsibilities as road users and license holders.
