Alan Edmunds is the Village Agent Co-ordinator for Hampshire Age Concern. Age Concern Hampshire’s information and advice service offers independent, impartial and confidential support to people over 50; their friends, family and carers. Our advisors help with enquiries on everything from residential care to gardening, benefits to local clubs and activities. They can talk clients through their options and provide factsheets and leaflets on a wide range of topics. The service is available through our freephone telephone line (0800 328 7154) but we also have a face to face home visiting service (OPAL), a befriending services for clients receiving Meals on Wheels (Food & Friendship) as well as our proactive signposting Village Agents in rural Hampshire communities. We also run services across the County for older people; everything from activity centres to IT classes; day care to foot health clinics.
